Formerly the managing partner and lead wig designer of Compassionate Creations for 11 years, Gieselle decided to exit that partnership in April of 2024 because she wanted to go into business for herself. The sole focus of Gieselle’s new business, Tress Transformations, is building custom wigs for clients out of their own hair or the hair of a loved one.
Gieselle originally learned her wig skills while working as a crew member and as a designer for theatre and opera.
Starting as far back as 2007, Gieselle has worked at many prestigious organizations such as the Seattle Opera, Central City Opera, Pomona College, Pasadena Playhouse, Musical Theatre West, and A Noise Within. In October of 2025, Gieselle was a guest lecturer for the graduate theatre department at Baylor College in Waco, TX.
